Church Building (SOLD)

August 28th, 2021|

On 25 August our church building with the adjacent land was sold to another church. In the months and years ahead they hope to develop the site. We are grateful to them for agreeing that, in the meantime, we can continue to use the building for our services, so Dens Road remains our place of worship for the moment.

Gathering Together Again

March 25th, 2021|

Following a ruling in the Court of Session yesterday (24 March) churches in Scotland are free to gather for worship.

We therefore hope to meet again in our church building from 28 March. We would be glad to welcome you to Dens Road for our 11am service. Please note the following:

  • You may wish to wear warm clothes since ventilation requirements mean more heat will be escaping than normal.
  • We’ll need to record your presence for contact tracing.
  • You shouldn’t come if you have symptoms of Coronavirus.
  • Chairs will be in household groups or individually 2m apart.
  • Everyone is expected to wear a face mask except the person leading worship and anyone who is exempt for health reasons.

Suspension of Services in Our Church Building

January 26th, 2021|

Since 10 January it has been prohibited for anyone in Scotland to leave their home to attend their regular church, unless they are involved in leading a service for on-line broadcast. For that reason, our services will be available on-line only at www.dundee.church/live until we are able to gather again for corporate worship.

  • A church with plenty of fresh air

Restarting Corporate Worship

July 16th, 2020|

We are now permitted to gather again for worship in our church building, so since 19 July we have conducted the service from Dens Road, while simultaneously streaming on-line and over the conference call system. We would be glad to welcome you at Dens Road for our 11am service. If you decide to come to Dens Road, we should make you aware of the following:

  • Your presence will be recorded for contact tracing purposes.
  • You should not come if you have symptoms of Coronavirus.
  • Chairs will be in household groups or individually 2m apart.
  • From 8 August, everyone is expected to wear a face mask except the person leading worship and anyone who is exempt for health reasons.

Coronavirus Arrangements

March 19th, 2020|

Like most churches, some of those who attend our congregation could face serious health complications if they contracted Coronavirus. In addition, some of our members work for the NHS with patients who have serious underlying health conditions. For those reasons, we are suspending all physical church gatherings until further notice.

That does not mean, however, that we will suspend our services altogether. We will continue as normal at 11am on Sunday, with a live audio stream on our website and simultaneous dial-in service for those who do not have Internet access.

The live stream will be available at www.dundee.church/live. Members of our congregation will also be able to access the recording later if they are unable to join at 11am.

For details of how to dial in to the conference call, please get in touch.

Dens Road Development Site

July 8th, 2019|

For almost thirty years, 11 Dens Road has served the Associated Presbyterian Church (APC) congregation in Dundee. The building now needs refurbishment and significant work to bring it up to required standards. That’s one of the reasons we have decided to put the building on the market. Once we’ve found a buyer, we hope to find a new location better suited to the needs of our congregation and the Dundee area.

The building is now being sold as one lot with an adjoining site owned by a third party, making for a sizeable development site. Details can be found at our agent Graham & Sibbald.
